Bruce Springsteen Announces He’s Releasing Seven ‘Lost’ Albums This Summer
Bruce Springsteen has had an illustrious career, and he’s not stopping anytime soon.
In fact, the iconic singer recently announced that he will be releasing seven “lost” albums this summer. This June, Springsteen will release a collection of 83 songs, 74 of which have never been officially released.
In a statement, Springsteen said that the songs were created between 1983 to 2018. Entitled “Tracks II: The Lost Albums,” the collection will be made up of “full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released.”
Springsteen initially got the idea to compile and release this collection during the Covid-19 pandemic when we all were isolated and quarantined.
“I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now. I’m glad you’ll get a chance to finally hear them. I hope you enjoy them.”
Insiders have stated that a record titled LA Garage Sessions 83 blends the sounds of Nebraska and his famous hit Born in the USA, while Streets of Philadelphia Sessions resembles the hit Springsteen made for the 1993 film Philadelphia.
Other records include Faithless, which was actually the soundtrack the rock star made for a movie that was never made.
In the trailer that Springsteen released for the upcoming project, he reflected on what he said was a “lost period” in the 90s.
“Really I was working the whole time,” he said.
The physical release of the albums will each include a 100-page book that features rare photos and notes that correspond with the record.
A 20-song selection from all seven albums will also be released.
Springsteen’s last released project was his album Only the Strong Survive, which came out in 2022.
Tracks II: The Lost Albums will officially be released on June 27th this year.
