Apple Gearing Up For ‘Major iPad Pro Revamp’ For 2024

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman’s recent report in the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Apple is preparing for a “major iPad Pro revamp” for next year after years of minor revisions and adjustments to the company’s tablet sector. 

Gurman reported that 2024 will be a “light year” for the new iPad lineup, while this year will likely see no major updates for the iPad Pro, as well as the entry-level iPad, iPad mini, and the iPad Air. 

In 2024, however, Gurman reports that Apple “is readying a major revamp for the iPad Pro” specifically that will likely debut in the spring. Gurman is expecting an updated design to the tablet, as well as display upgrades involving an OLED display for the first time. 

“I don’t see any major updates coming in 2023 to the entry-level models, the iPad mini or the Air. The iPad Pro for sure isn’t getting anything of note this year. Instead, look for a major iPad Pro revamp next spring, complete with an updated design and OLED screens for the first time.”

Apple is likely going to focus on upgraded releases of their other popular devices, such as the iPhone and various Macbook lineups, within this year and leave the major iPad upgrades to next year. 

Other reports have indicated that the newest upgrade to the iPad Pro could use a glass backing instead of the current aluminum unibody design. 

Glass backing to the iPad would be in line with the current line of iPhones that also have a glass backing design. MagSafe charging similar to current iPhone models will also likely be implemented in the new design. 

Tech Analyst Ross Youngalso recently reported that the first iPad Pro with an OLED display is on track to be released in 2024 as well as an upgraded Macbook Air model with the same display. 

It’s unclear whether or not Apple will also update the size options for the iPad Pro, but there have been reports that the company is considering a potential 14 inch display, as well as a potential whopping 16 inch display option. 

Additional tech leaks are likely to occur between now and the anticipated spring 2024 launch time, for now, however, the tech blogs and experts are anxiously awaiting what new information will be revealed regarding the future of the iPad, and Apple as a whole.

The Most Rumored Features Tech Experts Think Will Be In iPhone 13

Even though iPhone 12 was released just a few short months ago, tech experts are already scrambling to compile their lists of what they believe are the official specs for iPhone 13. While all of these features are just rumors, top tech analysts who have certain connections to Apple and their production have been able to successfully predict future tech innovations for the company before, and this will likely be no different. 

The biggest, and likely most accurate rumor, is that the iPhone 13 will have four separate models all at varying prices. This isn’t that crazy of a rumor considering the fact that Apple has released multiple models of the same phone in the past to accommodate consumers who want to spend less, or don’t need all the specs that are in the most expensive of the models.

The device will likely cost the same as iPhone 12, which has a base starting price of $799. Apple may also consider lowering the price of their next iPhone model to better compete with cheaper smartphone brands like Android. 

Most of Apple’s current phones refresh at a rate of 60 frames per second, while certain Android devices can refresh at up to 120 frames per second. The higher the refresh rate, the faster and smoother the phone runs when scrolling and switching between applications. 

Every upgrade to the iPhone essentially guarantees an upgrade to the already immaculate camera quality that these phones possess. “The iPhone 12 camera array currently includes regular, ultra-wide and selfie cameras, night mode photos on all cameras, improved HDR mode, a telephoto lens (on the Pro and Pro Max models) and 2.5x zoom (on the Pro Max only),” according to CNET.

It’s likely that iPhone 13 will have an added periscope camera to improve zoom, and an improvement on night mode photography as well; as these have been the biggest complaints regarding the iPhone 12 camera quality. 

The iPhone 13 is also rumored to bring back touch ID for logging into the device. Touch ID hasn’t been on a smartphone model for Apple since iPhone 8 after Apple removed the home button all together from its devices. Now, it’s rumored that along with the standard Face ID unlocking that all later iPhone models possess, a touch ID feature will be implemented into the volume or power buttons. 

The next generation iPhone will likely not have a headphone jack, but unlike the current models will potentially remove another port from the device. The lightning port where one inserts the charging cable could be removed in iPhone 13. Instead the phone will take advantage of Apple’s MagSafe technology and rely strictly on wireless charging. Some experts believe that this would be foolish on Apple’s part, especially for individuals who are on the go and don’t have room to carry around a chunky wireless charger.

iPhone 12 To Potentially Feature 5G Capability, And Other Rumors

Despite the current coronavirus pandemic, major tech companies are continuing to roll out new projects on schedule in order to create a sense of encouragement and something to look forward to for tech lovers everywhere. Apple, being the most prominent, recently held a virtual Keynote conference where they announced a multitude of new products and software. Now, fans of Apple know that next up is their September Keynote presentation where they, typically, announce the year’s newest iPhone upgrade. 

While there’s no real word on how or when this Keynote presentation will take place, based on the release of iOS 14, many tech experts are gearing up for an iPhone update right on schedule this year. Here’s some of the most anticipated/rumored features that Apple fans are predicting the company will implement in the new upgrade.

Typically, the newest iPhone is announced in the beginning of September and released by the end of the month, however, based on trading discrepancies with China, the coronavirus pandemic, and exporting issues in general, experts are predicting the new iPhone will more likely be released in October. 

The iPhone 12 will possibly be cheaper than the iPhone 11, as Apple has been releasing their newer models at cheaper prices and payment plans to appeal to more audiences who miss having the two-year upgrade fee of just $200 whenever they would want a new phone. The iPhone 11 itself was $50 cheaper than it’s previous counterpart, so many are predicting Apple will continue this trend. 

The design is always what fans look forward to seeing every year, however, many are predicting that the exterior of the iPhone 12 won’t be that different from the 11. Tech rumor blogs that are in coordination with Apple factory workers in China claim that so far the only major physical difference in the 12 is a slightly thinner body, however, Apple tends to love to shock their audiences with dramatic physical changes to their devices; for example the removal of the home button and headphone jack from all iPhone models.

It’s also been rumored that as a means to promote wireless charging products, the new iPhone may not even have a charging port to plug into. This would further push individuals to buy the company’s wireless headphones, Airpods, as well, as many can still use plug-in headphones through an adapter that goes in the charging port. 

With the iPhone 11 Pro, Apple announced a new dark green color that was widely popular among consumers. Now, it’s rumored that the Pro version of the 12 will also include a dark navy blue shade to choose from as well. 

Many are also predicting that size wise the iPhone 12 will come with options just like the 11 and 11 Pro Max. The screen quality will also have a higher resolution and refresh rate; meaning it’ll be able to switch from screen-to-screen much easier. 

Finally, like most new phone models it’s predicted that the newest iPhone will include 5G connectivity and Apple may even release their own 5G antennas. 5G is a relatively new concept in the tech world but it’s one that all major company’s (Samsung, Google, Sony etc.) are beginning to implement into their personal devices. 

Only time will tell how valid these rumors are, however, Apple fans are notorious for their predictions/source information when it comes to device features and release dates, so it’s more of just a waiting game now.

In 2020, technology and running a business go hand in hand. Now that the world has fully adapted into a digital age, where pretty much anything and everything can be accomplished via the internet, in order to run a successful company, you need to be successfully using online resources as well. Then, budget out which areas get the most funding and what that funding should specifically be going towards. Tech products can really break the bank, so the more specific and direct your plan is, the better. 

Part of your tech budget plan should also highlight your overall business plans for where you’d like to see your company in two or so years. Technology and AI is constantly advancing and upgrading itself, so make a plan about where you’d like to see your company in the future and how a current investment in tech will get you there without needing any additional upgrades down the line. 

For the busy business owner/worker, knowing all the ins and outs of how all this new technology works is close to impossible. When making new investments in the tools for your company, talk to a real professional and give them the business/investment plan mentioned above. You need an external party who’s separated from your business who can give you the most expert advice and service for your specific industry needs.

The internet is a vast and complex place, and now it’s easier than ever for individuals to hack our devices and get access to all of our personal information. 

For businesses especially, this should always be at the forefront of concern. Looking into a solid online security system for your companies servers/online applications is important and necessary if you want to protect all the specifics that go into running it. This would, again, be a great place to get expert advice, as there’s plenty of “computer security” programs online that end up just being viruses themselves.
